Are You Heavenly Minded ? Together Tuesday With The Youth

We are reminded in Colossians 3: 1 to set our hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.  There wasn’t one soul on Sunday that wasn’t affected by the tragic deaths of Kobe, his daughter and the other individuals who boarded that helicopter and never planned on dying on that day. As the youth got together on Tuesday January the 28th, they  talked about the importance of keeping one’s mind on heavenly things. Josue Ramirez, who is one of the leaders took the time to share with us some of the important things that were discussed,

We spoke about our biggest desires and how sometimes they can be selfish and geared toward pleasing our humanly wants.  But we should really be wanting and preparing for our greatest treasure which is in heaven. We mentioned  Kobe Bryant’s death ( because it’s relevant); he had what the majority of people want- fame, money , “the life” but just like that he’s gone and got to take nothing with him. These earthly treasures mean nothing.
