What Are Some Of The Names Of The Lord?
Have you wondered what different names us, humans, have used to call on the Lord? Whether it’s to call on Him in prayer or to reference Him in conversations, or describing how great God is, the Bible is filled with many different names that reference the Lord.
Well, there is a song I came across on YouTube by a talented and gifted woman, by the name of Elihana Elia. Her heart is so filled with worship and the song below describes exactly that. The song features the sounds of different instruments that were played in the Bible. *Flashback! When I first heard the song, it took me back to the time when I went to watch a film with my youth group called: The Prince of Egypt. The soundtrack to that film sounds similar to this song, in a way, and Elihana’s voice reminds me of Moses’ mother in the film, as she places baby Moses in the basket to be drifted by the river.* It’s a distinct sound that has stayed with me since the release of that film and I just heard it again with Elihana – for that, THANK YOU, ELIHANA! <3
Take a look of the lyrics to the song:
Adon Ha Kvod (The KING of Glory)
Adonai Tzevaot (The LORD of Hosts)
Zroach Elohim (The Right Hand of GOD)
Melech HaMelachim (The KING of kings)
Goel Israel (The Redeemer of ISRAEL)
Hu Yimloch Leolam, Leolam Vaed (The LORD reigns, Forever and ever)Shema Israel (Hear ISRAEL!)
Adonai Eloheinu (The LORD is our GOD)
Adonai Echad (The LORD is ONE)
Adonai Yimloch, Leolam Vaed (The LORD reigns, Forever and ever)Adonai Eloheinu (The LORD is our GOD)
Adonai Echad (The LORD is ONE)
Adonai Yimloch, Leolam Vaed (The LORD reigns, Forever and ever)Baruch Haba B’Shem Adonai (Blessed is He who Comes in The Name of The LORD)
Ha’Mashiach Yeshua Ben David (The Messiah, son of David)
Baruch Haba B’Shem Adonai (Blessed is He who Comes in The Name of The LORD)
This is a powerful song to begin with, as we sing, shout, and proclaim whom the Lord is! Not to mention, it’s a great way to learn Hebrew 🙂 We come into His presence as all the glory and praise belong to HIM alone!
I wanted to share what has been in my heart, in these last several days. I can’t stop singing and proclaiming the Lord through this song. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!
God bless you!
For the glory of God alone,
Teetee
