There Is No Good News Without The Backdrop Of The Bad News, Genesis 42:1-2 By Rev Julio Orozco Jr.
Welcome to Grace Community Church we will be looking at Genesis 42:1-2 today
Overview:
In the past four weeks, the emphasis has been on Joseph and his rise from humiliations to exaltation. Joseph is now second in command in Egypt and has diligently stored up grain in preparation for the famine that was prophesied about. Today we’re going to shift gear and zero in on his brothers. The famine has now spread out beyond Egypt and even Joseph’s entire family is facing starvation and death. But Jacob ( Joseph’s Father) realizes that there is grain in Egypt and tells his sons to journey there for food-the hand of God is at work again behind the curtain. I’ll invite you to listen to Reverend Julio Orozco JR.’s sermon today as he parallels this passage with the gospel and its fruits.
PS: I will also invite you to like and share the sermon on Youtube because it helps in propagating it to other people around world.
The Service 10.03.2021: Genesis 42:1-2
The Passage:
42 When Jacob learned that there was grain in Egypt, he said to his sons, “Why do you just keep looking at each other?” 2 He continued, “I have heard that there is grain in Egypt. Go down there and buy some for us, so that we may live and not die.”
