Children Sunday School: The Son Reveals The Father & The Power Of The Holy Spirit

In Sunday School, our teacher Vanessa Burga introduced the preschoolers to another gift from God: Jesus. God not only gave us the Bible, but He also sent His Son to be with us and teach us how to live to please Him. The gift of Jesus is unique in that it allows us to know God’s heart. When the Word (Jesus) became flesh and lived among us, He showed us God’s love and taught us to obey His commands. Furthermore, Jesus gave His life so that we might be forgiven and have eternal life. This sacrifice serves as a reminder of the extent to which God loves us. To summarize, Jesus’ gift is the greatest gift we could ever receive.

(Scripture used: John 14:6-11)

The Power Of The Holy Spirit

Grade-schoolers continued to learn about the three persons of the Godhead. The focus in this class was on the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our counselor sent by God in Jesus’ name to live in us and show us the truth. They learned that the Holy Spirit helps us when we make decisions, gives us power to live a good life, and helps us to understand what God wants us to do. The Holy Spirit also gives us gifts to use in our daily lives and in service to others.
