What foundation is your life built upon?
It is so important for children to understand the foundation that Jesus teaches us about in His Word. These are the truths that we must build our lives upon, and they will determine how we weather the storms of life.
On Sunday, the children at Grace Community Church learned that Jesus is our Lord and we should follow His teachings. They discussed how it would be foolish to join a team and not show up for the games or practices. Likewise, it would be ridiculous to buy an expensive piano and not play it. The children then applied this analogy to our relationship with Jesus. We would be fools to call Him Lord and then not do what He tells us to do.
Vanessa, our Sunday school teacher reminded the children that when we read God’s Word and do what it says, our lives will have a strong foundation. The children left Sunday school with a better understanding of what it means to have Jesus as their Lord.

Build Your House on the Rock ( Matthew 7:24-27)
24 “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”
