Come To Me And I Will Give You Rest, Matthew 11:28-30
There has been a lot of debate about the “rest of God.” What does it mean to be truly rested? Is it a physical state, a mental one, or something more spiritual? Many people have put their own spin on the concept, but the best way to understand and experience the rest of God is through Jesus Christ. In the book of Matthew, Jesus invites his followers, the called ones, to come to him for true rest. Today’s sermon by Reverend Julio will be about what it means to be rested according to Jesus’ definition. Hopefully, through this teaching, we can all learn how to find true rest in our lives. Thank you for listening.
The Rest Of God: Sermon
The Passage: Matthew 11:28-30
28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
