When The Word Of God Is Preached Accurately, The Church Community Thrives

Welcome back to our study of the book of Nehemiah. Last week,  we talked about how following the reconstruction of Jerusalem’s walls, the people gathered in a public square for the reading of God’s Word. This sparked a communal period of confession, repentance, and revival, stemming from their comprehension of the Word’s meaning. We  also emphasized the cruciality of preaching solely the Truth from sacred Scripture.

We are now in chapter 9, the initial verses reveal the people’s subsequent actions – a fasting period that led them into communal mourning and Reverend Julio will elaborate  on that in today’s sermon.
